| Radio Demo Day |
Anyone who offers to produce you a useable demo
on the same day as teaching you radio presenter skills is on average mis-leading you!
Unless you are absolutely fantastic, you MUST practice what we've taught you before producing a
demo, which will give you any chance of getting work in radio.
You normally have one shot when submitting your radio demo. Get it wrong and it's quite likely that
any subsequent ones will be pushed down the pile for listening to.
We do not tell you what to say on your demo. That MUST come from you. We could get you to record
a fantastic demo using great links, created by us. Assuming that your voice is fine, what happens when the radio station invites you in
and asks you to do another demo, in-house?! In other-words, the radio demo has to be YOUR skills,
but under guidance.
On our one day radio presenter workshop we show you the way forward.
We always advise that you ideally produce a radio demo from links off an existing show. But, it may be
that you simply haven't managed to get any initial voluntary radio work and need that demo!
Whatever, The Radio Surgery can help you in a number of ways.
We offer two options .....
RADIO DEMO DAY
We'll talk to you beforehand; give you advice on what you should include in your demo. During the
studio session, you'll record a number of links. In fact, more than is
needed! We then pass these links onto a seasoned radio
professional who will decide which links are best and edit it all on to a
demo for you.
£250 (no VAT)
RADIO DEMO EDITING
You send us the links. More than is needed! We advise you on that. We
then arrange for a seasoned radio professional to edit and produce your radio
presentation demo.
£175 (no VAT)
Remember ... we don't guarantee you radio work ... but we can give
you more help than working alone
